Everyone talks “green” but we do our best at Admiral Movers to actually do something about it with our box-less move.
Here are a few of the ways that we try to be environmentally responsible.
To save on the use of cardboard boxes in our commercial moving we…
- Use gondolas to pack and move office files, no boxes or plastic crates in the landfill
- Use less volume in trucks means fewer trips–less fuel used and pollutants emitted
- No boxes means no tape + no petroleum-based product are used with our solution
- Re-purpose pads as retired from trucks we use them in warehouse vaults
- Continually reuse and re-purpose all wooden crates we receive
- Rebuild doilies and other equipment normally thrown away to save from the landfill
- Can shred and recycle excess paper prior to your move through our sister company Admiral Records Management
- Use used packing boxes as crate fillers, never just thrown away
- Use of AirGlide systems to pack and move computers and equipment, no material in the landfill and nod dust and dirt in your computers from pads like some movers
- Use “reusable” totes to pack and move office effects (some have been used for over 15 years
- Use gondolas for a long time we use gondolas today are 20 years old, nothing in the landfill
We also recycle all of our fleet motor oil and tires. As you might imagine we go through a lot of this stuff, so we make sure all of it gets recycled.
When we do use cardboard boxes and other recyclable items in our moves, we put those back into the recycling stream.
Finally, with our sister company, Admiral Records, we have a secure shred operation. This allows us to shred and recycle all the paper that comes from our office moves. So, not only do we help keep our clients secure, we make sure that stuff that can be recycled doesn’t end up in landfill.
